•~{Welcome everyone, I'm Gabu and this is a new blog of mine. I those a coin, if somebody here recalls, a poll was posted. One of the options was to use a coin to decide which of two blogs to do. "Thaumcraft 6 remake blog" faced, and cross "Minecraft for Newbies" an idea of mine to help newcomers or just people with the game with professional tips, now let us get to the point. As you'll see, the American 25 cents or better know as a Quarter, land on Thaumcraft 6. Just a brief description of this mod; a magical mod with one of the most interesting ways to become a sorcerer, in this case, a "Thaumaturge". Let's go}~•

•World•

-Generating a new world, how's the feeling? I'm talking with you reader, I might don't know you but I'm a Minecraft player too. How does it feel, when its time to move to another world? New content to be seen, crossing fingers and some times exaggerating how much luck you'll have in the spawn world. Only to have an already discover a similar biome over and over again. Pretty funny, Minecraft is a sandbox game, my favorite to be totally honest. Thaumcraft in the past had 3 Biomes; "Magical Forest", "Eerie Lands" and "Outer Valley/Tainted Valley". But now In Thaumcraft 6, Magical Forest stays. Let's take look:

user uploaded image

Magical Forest

~>•Magical Forest•<~

-In every chunk of this new world is something called "Vis", is the magic in the area. Can be harness and stored, but slowly regenerate in the area around it when is used. The higher the chunk has of Vis, the better a Thaumcraft set up you'll have. This biome is rich in Vis, just like any other biome hostile, passive and neutrals mob may spawn, but at night. It's actually someway peaceful. The particle effects and "Wisps" make it look more "Magical" than the wild card of "Vis Master Biome" has.

~>•Botanist's Specimen•<~

user uploaded image

Flora

-Thaumcraft adds 5 new flora species to the game. Each is going to be explained.

~>1<~

<•Silverwood Tree•>

user uploaded image

Silverwood Tree

-Pretty rare tree to find can spawn anywhere there is a forest or just high vegetation. Found more frequently at Magical forests. In where it shadows goes there can be found "Shimmerleaf". Such planks can be used on Thaumcraft recipes of tools and some magical usage or interacting with magic itself. Like any other tree, it's wood can be used to make stairs and other recipes;

user uploaded image

Usage

~>2<~

<•Shimmerleaf•>

-The strange, glowing flowers only grow in the shadow of Silverwood Trees. Instead of nectar, these flowers produce quicksilver

~>3<~

<•Vishroom•>

-This strange, glowing mushroom can only be found growing in magical forests. They have hallucinogenic properties so one must be careful not to approach too closely (When player or mob is stepping on it, the mushroom gives the effect of nausea I for 19 secs)

~>4<~

<•Cinderpearls•>

-Found only in the hottest of climes (Desert biomes) these plants burn with elemental fire. They can be harvested and ground to produce a fine powder akin to Blaze powder (when placed on a crafting grid makes 1 Blaze powder).

~>5<~

<•Greatwood Tree•>

user uploaded image

Greatwood Tree

-Dark, mysterious, and yet majestic trees found at any biome but more frequently at Magical Forests. It's wood regularly is used to make crafting components to magical devices, as also be used on regular bases as any other wood type. There's another variant of this same tree, some cobwebs around the leaves; if you harvest the dirt or chop one of its 2x2 log thickness you'll found a Cave Spider Spawner and under it a loot chest twice better than a blacksmith.

user uploaded image

Usage

~>•Underground Wonders•<~

-New minerals can are found underground and some near-surface, as well a new drop to ores one which once is harvesting its drop a pretty rare item.

user uploaded image

Ores

~>1<~

•>Quartz Ore<•

-A new way to be found Quartz, this time in the overworld, layers 50-10. Just like Nether Quartz Ore fortune affects the output of the gem/product.

~>2<~

•>Cinnabar<•

-This reddish ore is found deep underground and when smelted produces quicksilver. Layers lower than 60

~>3<~

•>Amber Bearing Stone<•

-Found just like coal ore, near and exposed to the surface, the deepest point to be found is 45 and close to. Is a gem, once is break there's a chance to be dropped; Amber, Preserved Curiosity and-or Rare Earths.

~>Extras<~

•>Preserved Curiosity & Rare Earths<•

user uploaded image

Extras may be dropped

-Preserved Curiosity; a way to gain knowledge by using right-click.

-Rare Earths; Is a rare drop from any ore harvested and drops its product, such only list goes by Redstone, Diamond, Quartz Ore (Thaumcraft 6, Overworld ore variant), Lapis Lazuli and Emerald Ore

~>•Crimson Cult•<~

user uploaded image

Crimson Cult

~>1<~

<•Crimson Portal•>

-Crimson portals spawn far from the most recent player spawn point (Sleeping in a bed, spawn point, and World spawn). It doesn't matter if is day or night time, making a twisted sense of sounds. The portal has two variants "Lesser" having 100 HP and "Greater" with 500 HP, once a portal appears red lighting effects are immediately creating 4 "Crimson Cult Banner" and some Crates that vary by the chance of; "Common Crate", "Uncommon Crate" and "Rare Crate", if is break loot will come out (The rarer the crate is, the best loot can have inside):

~>•Flux•<~

user uploaded image

Symbols from the book

-A form of contamination to the world, by no circumstances. Do your Thaumcraft 6 Alchemy set up near your base or someone else's. Do NOT let flux build, is BAD. The tear of Magic's fabrics opens destroying some blocks and starting the contamination. The bigger this tear is the worst it gets; this is just an example;

user uploaded image

Flux Rift

-This tear of magic's fabric is commonly called, "Flux Rifts". If a player is near it gets a negative effect similar to a poison called "Flux Phage", not even milk can cure or wear off the effect, only death and getting rid of the Rift, which only can be closed with an End-game item. Any creature except the ones the Rift creates is too close to it would be harmed. If you are in a safe place you may hear all the constant void and Eerie noises mixture around the Rift.

~>•Warp•<~

user uploaded image

Symbols from the book

-Flux is contamination for the environment, but the warp is also dangerous to be messing around with. At least if you aren't prepared and strong enough with human or just real life sanity. There are many ways to gain Warp, yet few ways to get rid of. To start there are two (2) types of Warp;

Temporary Warp: Which can get rid of later on

and

Warp/Permanent Warp: There's no way in survival to get rid of, unless of using commands

-When there's a chapter or section of blogs that have something relative to getting rid or gain warp I'll be giving "Warning" signs as image. No one is really prepared for Warp neither of them; sounds of beating hearts, hallucinations, playing games trickery, guardians of "Eldritch" bosses messing around your life, massively negative effects constantly, warp elevation at any time making things worst, as also many times mists that not even turning off Fog would do a fixing or cheat. Just a living nightmare over and over again, 'cause somebody didn't read the cautions. So, as I said, be careful; listen to what a Modded Minecraft Player has the experience and learned from his mistakes, so you have a better or prepared play through with mods.

~>•Vis Crystals•<~

user uploaded image

Vis Crystals and their Essentia

-Crystals Cluster that grows anywhere there is a variant of a similar block to stone, such as; Andesite, Cobblestone, Polished Andesite and just to named a few. Each Vis Crystal Cluster can spawn at any later of the world, can somehow manage to "grow" or extent around the caves only when is dark enough to. Harvesting for the first time a Vis Crystal Cluster a message of;

"Your fingers tingle strangely as you handle the crystal. What does that mean? Maybe some rest will inspire you".

-Classification of each **NATURAL** Vis Crystal Cluster;

1: Aqua Vis Crystal (Water)

2: Terra Vis Crystal (Earth)

3: Ignis Vis Crystal (Fire)

4: Aer Vis Crystal (Air)

5: Perditio Vis Crystal (Entropy, Chaos & Destruction)

6: Ordo Vis Crystal (Order, Regularity & Purity)

7: Vitium Vis Crystal (Taint, Change & Mutation)

user uploaded image

Vis Crystals in the wild

~>•Dungeons•<~

-Only one structure is added to the game, new adventure, at least slightly complicated and easy. Similar to a dome, is some way easy to identify in the plains of any biomes that has vegetation.

user uploaded image

Dungeon

•Generation:

-2 Iron Bars

-Multiple blocks of Cobblestone and Mossy Cobblestone

-2 Spawner; 1 Zombie and 1 Skeleton

-2 Urn of any Rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, it's loot is the same as the crates

-50% Chance of the treasure's chest to be neither trapped chest nor not, if it is; a block of TNT would be hiding. The loot inside is similar to a blacksmith.

~>•Magical Creatures•<~

user uploaded image

Magical Creatures

-There isn't a bunch of magical creatures around or outside the Magical Forest, but still, create richer gameplay to the playthrough.

~>1<~

<•Peches•>

-Small creatures that wander inside Magical Forests. Neutral most of the time, unless you make an attack on them. Players may trade with them, in fact, they are somehow the first "Piglins" by the use of gold ingots dropped on the floor they would accept your "friendship". No matter the class or variant of Pech all trades have quality. And every time you use right-click a GUI to his trade would pop up;

user uploaded image

Peches GUI

•~How to trade~•

1- Open the GUI by using the left click on the Pech that is a "friend" of yours.

2- Place a Gold ingot or anything made of in the left slot, then right-click on the dice :game_die: (Middle cubic from) so a Chance of trade be done

3- Take the trade, be careful you don't drop, Peches take anything that is on the floor.

-[~•Mob Statistics•~]-

•HP: 30

•Armor: 2

•Behavior: Neutral

•Variations:

1- Pech Forager (Common)

2- Pech Stalker (Uncommon)

3- Pech Mage (Rare)

•Drops:

-Item held, 50% of the time

-Gold Nuggets

-"Illuminating Curiosity" in extremely low chances.

user uploaded image

Curiosity

•Behavior:

-Neutral, hostile unless is attacked. Just like Hoglins/Pigmen, if you attack one and there are some around, they gonna help their fellow friend.

-The "friendship" with a Pech last as the how many Gold ingots were dropped and he/she caught. Been each ingot 30 secs.

•Trades:

-Illuminating Curiosity

-Golden Apple

-Enchanted Golden Apple

>~2~<

<•Wisp•>

-Floating energy creature that is commonly neutral, until is attacked by the player in the magical forest is this creature. Meaning if a player attacks wisps at Biome of Magical Forest A; All wisps that spawn in this biome will in fact all other players who enter o vale across wisps in Magical Forest A. Meanwhile at Magical Forest B is 4070 blocks away, not even a single detail of the connection between both biomes, Wisps inside of Magical Forest B won't attack players until someone does. Spawns at Magical Forest but also at the Nether, most of the time Wisps in such dimensions are red. Nether Wisps are always hostile.

•HP: 22

•Armor: 0

•Behavior:

-Neutral (Overworld)

-Hostile (Nether)

•Variations:

-Blue

-Yellowish Gray

-Green

-Red

-White

-Blackish

•Drops:

-Depending on the color the Wisp would drop a primary Vis Crystal;

~Ordo: White

~Blackish: Perditio

~Yellowish Gray: Aer

~Blue: Aqua

~Red: Ignis

~Green: Terra

•Attack:

-Attacks are lighting alike, a shield can stop the attack without trouble, but the AI (Artificial Intelligence) of the Wisps is somehow natural, making them move around and attack from places where your shield isn't protecting the player.

~>3 & 4<~

<•Angry and Furious Zombie•>

-Both zombies can spawn anywhere in the overworld. Way more dangerous than it might seem. Red eyes describing their malevolent intelligence. Every time something or someone hits an Angry Zombie it heights increase slightly, making so punching is the worst idea of killing them be. Capable of growing up to 3.5 blocks, meanwhile the Furious Zombie may grow to almost 10 blocks height. If you are in a safe place or these zombies don't attack or are taking damage, the size slowly but shortly they became normal since (2 blocks height).

~Angry Zombie~

•HP: 25

•Behavior: Hostile

•Armor: 3

•Drops:

-Rotten Flesh

-Zombie Brain (If is eaten the player would have temporary Warp)

~Furious Zombie~

•HP: 60

•Behavior: Hostile

•Armor: 3

•Drops:

-Rotten Flesh

-Zombie Brain

~>Extra<~

<•Fire Bat•>

-Fire bats, or Hellbats, are usually found in the Nether, Engulfed in flame and unreasonably aggressive they are perfectly suited to the environment they live in. They also have an alarming tendency to explode when attacking. One wonders what possible evolutionary advantage exploding gives them as a species, but the same can be asked of creepers.

•HP: 5

•Armor: 0

•Behavior: Hostile

•Drops:

-Gunpowder

•Attacks:

-Hits two times at its target, in the "third hit" explodes making damage to the target but not the environment.

:sparkles: ❍━━━━❑❒❖❑❒━━━━❍ :sparkles:

•Salis Mundus•

user uploaded image

Bed or going to bed scenario

-When a player goes to sleep after harvesting or collecting for the first time a Vis Crystal, they receive a book; which recalls what you thought once you harvest the crystals. Did you remember? Here's a refresh;

+"Your fingers tingle strangely as you handle the crystal. What does that mean? Maybe some rest will inspire you".

-Waking up "you," said you had a dream, and immediately written down on a book and quill. Then you title it "Strange Dreams". Inside of this book was written;

{Page 1/3}

"I had the strangest dream last night.

In the dream, I took three of those strange crystals I've been finding and ground them with a handful of Redstone in a boil, using a piece of flint."

{Page 2/3}

"The crystals had to be of different types, but if I did it properly then the result was a strange, glowing dust.

In the dream, I took the dust and sprinkled it on a bookcase, but the dream ended before I saw what happened."

{Page 3/3}

"I wonder, should I do what the dream showed?

I have the impression the dust was going to reveal something wondrous, but dangerous."

-What your dreams say is to make a powder called; "Salis Mundus". Capable of transmuting blocks to objects, other powerful blocks, structures, and even multi blocks. In order to progress, you most create Salis Mundus.

Crafting recipe:

user uploaded image

Crafting and texture

Crafting components:

-3 Vis Crystals each most be different on their stack, Redstone, Bowl, and Flint.

•TIP•

-The creation of Salis Mundus only consumes the Redstone and the 3 different Vis crystals. Making you staying with the bowl and flint.

~>Transmutation<~

user uploaded image

Transmutations

~>1<~

<•Thaumonomicon•>

-Book of progression, mini questing inside completed by the player will grant some direct EXP. Don't worry if you lose it, all Thaumonomicons are connected a who handles it can see their own progression. More info in further blogs.

•Needs:

-Salis Mundus

-Any type of Bookshelf

•Method:

-By the use of Salis Mundus in hand, use right-click at any side of a bookshelf.

>~2~<

<•Arcane Workbench•>

-The main crafting table used in this mod, it works by placing each primary Vis Crystal in their place and using the Vis in the area. I'll be using the color lime of item frames so you all know what or where you most craft certain things, in the use of this block.

•GUI

user uploaded image

GUI

-The blue, cyan or light blue numbers means the how much of Vis is available in the area to be used. Many crafting recipes need Vis, so when you are done with a recipe, the number will drop and slowly getting back to original. If the chunk at some point is reduced to 0 Vis, which is pretty common to happen to newcomers of Thaumcraft (any version); just move your set up to another place where's more Vis. Be gentle of how much you use. Crafting too many things so fast and don't give care of respecting the area would in fact decrease the Vis. Use gear or baubles that help the player have Vis Discounts!

•Needs:

-Salis Mundus

-Crafting Table

•Method:

-By the use of Salis Mundus in hand, use right-click at any side of a crafting table. Players don't need to be using shift right-click.

~>3<~

<•Crucible•>

-A handy starter to a branch of Alchemy in the studies of a Thaumaturge. This block is going to be further explained in other blogs.

•Needs:

-Cauldron

-Salis Mundus

•Method:

-By the use of Salis Mundus in hand, use right-click at any side of a cauldron.
